About the Authors

Mary
Trehearn
Mary Trehearn is an educator. She served as a substitute teacher for eight years until 1999 when she began her career as a high school English teacher and part-time adjunct professor for a master’s degree program in teaching. Mary attained her Doctorate of Education in 2010 and was honored as the 2022 recipient of the Christa McAuliffe Prize for Courage and Excellence in Education. Mary loves teaching, but looks forward to retirement to enjoy more time with her husband, family, and sweet pomsky.

Tealie Moseman is a seventh grade honors student. She enjoys a variety of activities including Student Council, Chess Club, Teammates, FCA, soccer, basketball, and softball. Tealie loves learning, her family, her cat, and life. She is a joy to all who know her.
